For more details on the route, please click here.

The route will start the 2nd of July at the Pen-Y-Gwryd hotel, at the foot of mount Snowdon, going through Machynlleth, Bristol and Portsmouth and crossing the channel at Newhaven. Then they will ride 200km to Paris, and work their way up the Loire valley, over the Massif to Rodez before heading to the Pyrenees via Carcassonne, finishing with a big climb to the Port de Pailhères, with a high point of 2000m. They will be using Sustrans cycle routes in the UK and the network of "Voies Vertes" in France, riding off road when they can, on road when they must, and downhill wherever possible!

They aim to complete the ride in 22 days, with an average of 1OO km (about 62 miles) a day and 940 m of climbing. Of course, there are going to be some big days such as a 100 mile day and a huge day in the pyrenees to finish with 2500 m of climbing in a day !

How can you  take part in the adventure ?

What route are we taking ?

They would love to inspire people to ride, so if you feel like joining them, that would be great ! Join them for the whole ride, for a week, for a day, or a few miles. But if riding really isn't your thing, they can't do the ride without help. So why don't you join the support team ? You can volunteer as a driver, or make them a meal, or give then snacks and water along the way, or even go and cheer them along !

If you're good at music, you could send us one of your songs so that we can use it in the video blog that we'll do. If you have a YouTube channel we will put the link in the description of the video.

All help will be very appreciated but please contact us to let us know what you can do.

And, of course, you could donate.

You can aslo get your own just giving page and join our team.

Who are Lucas Kennedy ?

Lucas Kennedy were founded by Dom Martinez and Paul Deba in 2008, they specialise in placing IT Personnel in complex corporate implementations.  Lucas Kennedy have been supporting individuals in their charitable activities for many years (click here for more information ).

Dom Martinez and Martin Hill have known each and worked together for nearly 20 years - before even Google existed!  In the ever ongoing attempt to find a new contract Martin mentioned that he needed to have 5 weeks to complete a mad charity bike ride and when Dom heard that they needed some money to support the family and cycling team in order to confirm the ride, he immediately offered to help and that has enabled the team to firm up their plans for 2200kms of bike riding and at least 25 nights in camping accommodation. Justin Kendell who has secondary progressive MS and lives a significantly restricted life will be able to attempt to complete every kilometre of the route thanks to Lucas Kennedy's generous donation. Allowing the team to meet others, raise at least £2000 for MS Charities and to get more people onto their bikes!
